[Explicit Content]Who, Where, What?

Because tomorrow is a final exam for P&C subject, I reminded of something interesting when Pak Naiborhu told us a story of PI-Del Student couple weeks ago.

He said, there was a student that asked him about GOD. He even search to the internet with this keyword “Who Is God?”. Maybe you would think that this student is stupid, or has “something wrong” in his/her brain. But, just for your information, he/she is the best students that PI-Del ever had (he/she got cum laude in his/her GPA), and Pak Naiborhu himself declared that he/she is “different”. And another fact is that he/she is a son/daughter of a priest. Don’t you get surprised to hear that?

Based on the story above, without any serious purpose I do the same that he/she did. I enter the keywords about “Who is GOD?”, “Where is GOD?”, and maybe this isn’t decorous question for some people, “What is GOD?”

I find a very lot of results of those answer with Google search engine, but the average answer of all those questions is based on Christian point of view, hmm… whereas I want that the answer is in universal term. I cited it for you who curious as I am.

Who is God… He is Knowable.

God, who created the universe in all of its magnitude and creative details, is able to be known, by us. He tells us about himself, but even goes beyond that. He welcomes us into a relationship, so that we personally can get to know him. Not only can we know about him, we can know him, intimately.

Who is God… He is Approachable.

God invites us to talk to him and engage him in what concerns us. We don’t have to get our act together first. Neither do we need to be polite, theologically correct or holy. It is his nature to be loving and accepting when we go to him.

Who is God… He is Creative.

Everything we make is put together with existing materials or built on previous thoughts. God has the capacity of speaking things into existence, not just galaxies and life forms, but solutions to today’s problems. God is creative, for us. His power is something he wants us to be aware of and to rely on.

Where is God? How Can I Know He Exists?
Where is God? If this question still needs to be settled in your mind, consider the evidence for God in His creation. Genesis 1:1 says, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Do you believe it? Look around at the evidence. Psalm 19:1-2 tells us: The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. God wants us to know He exists. Where is God? We see Him in what He has created.

Do you believe that God wants you to see Him? The Bible says He does. He reveals Himself to us. Psalm 98:2 says, The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.

God reveals Himself to us through His creation (see Romans 1:20) and through His Word: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).

Finally, God desires us to know Him so much that He took on the form of a man, in the person of His Son Jesus Christ. Consider these words from Paul in Philippians 2:6-8: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Akhir-akhir ini gw lagi seneng banget denger lagunya Hillsong Music nieyy..
Padahal kan genrenya yang dulu ni jarang (malah ga pernah) gw dengerin…yaitu rohani..
Hmm mudah-mudahan ga cuma musiman aja ya..gw pengen terus suka…
Itung-itung Praise The Lord juga…
Kenapa gw suka…??Abisnya lagunya-easy listening banget sih…,,Coba semua lagu Rohani (yang Indonesia) kayak gini semua. Lagunya dikemas dalam bentuk fullband gitu dan kadang-kadang ada yang mellow-mellownya juga.
Wahh…kok baru sekarang ya gw nyadar dan jatuh cinta ama lagu ini.
Lagu favorit gw sekarang “The Steadfast Love of The Lord” ama “Holy Spirit Rain Down”,,makanya gw sekalian posting liriknya di sini juga.
Di lagu “Holy Spirit Rain Down” gw terkesan banget sama salah satu instrumen yg ikut ngisi di sana,,yaitu seruling,,gila…nenangin banget melodinya,,bikin hati gw trenyuh…
